One of my “grand theories” revolves around how “abnormal salience” is a challenge for contemporary life. Cannabis accentuates the phenomena (for comedic, enlightening, and tragic effects) but…the Internet and search and LLMs and the structures that humans have created with/out cannabis do it too.
yeah it’s almost certainly not that cannabis makes people crazy exactly, it’s that it increases the ability to think you’re correct, including about bad or anxiety inducing things
