In a large-scale trial, modRNA was significantly better at preventing confirmed flu cases than a typical seasonal flu shot.

"Leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about being an actual leader." I needed to hear this today, thank you!
As usual, it’s clear to me tonight that, no matter what’s said officially, @aoc.bsky.social is the real leader of the Democratic party and movement in the United States.

Leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about being an actual leader.
AOC: I have to tell you, in my traveling across the country, I am hearing and have been seeing consistent things from everyday people. And it is that they are terrified, they are frustrated, they are angry, and they are shocked by a president violating the values that we hold dear

I say this because I really want the Times to do better. No journalistic institution is perfect. But this is an own goal. One that they do again and again.

Infuriating and self-defeating.

We work to live, I have to remind myself of this regularly.
We Gen X know this is absolute bullshit. It's ok to never have a career. You can just do things you're interested in for as long as you are interested in them, and then do something else. Your job doesn't define you, and if it does, you're very likely doing life wrong.
“We millennials know that there’s no such thing as work-life balance. My career is my life, my life is my career. I would never be at peace if I wasn’t working so hard.” trib.al/suc3yU6

they don't have the capacity to compel obedience by violence.

the only lever by which they can obtain obedience is fear.

do not offer it to them.

Anyone else getting strong Eric Cartman vibes? Feels like we should call this the Cartman administration.

What Mike Ehrmantraut said in the Breaking Bad universe (might have been in Better Call Saul): “lawyer”.
"Shut the fuck up" has long been the correct default advice on talking to the police but now it applies 100x if it's federal law enforcement or if the info might get to them. It's not just that what you say will be used against you; you will also instantly be burned for political expedience.
to state the obvious, immediately leaking personal details to the press about somebody cooperating with a murder investigation is a great way to encourage people to not cooperate with future investigations

No one should be murdered for their beliefs but I cannot honor the human who was murdered yesterday for how he lived and honestly, brainwashed others. I see so many messages holding up his "devotion to Christ" yet what that man espoused, I find very un christ like.
