I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

National Trust Members.

It’s time to vote to keep the Faragists out.

Best not to split the vote.

Use the QUICK VOTE” link both for people and for motions.
Which reminds me, it's that time of year again for National Trust members to vote. The easiest way is to use the 'quick vote' to keep out the traditionalist 'Restore Trust' candidates. secure.cesvotes.com/V3-3-0/nt25/...

You don’t actually have to both sides this. The Jewish community in the UK is not the Israeli government. You can just condemn the murder of two British Jews killed in their place of worship and you don’t have to say a single other thing.

Delete your old emails to save water during drought, Environment Agency tells Britons.

This is desperate.

How about building new reservoirs; renewing old pipes; not contaminating rivers with sewage; building a national grid, ending privatisation.

This is desperate shit. No way this actually makes things profitable either, it’s just straight up rifling through their customers’ pockets to juice growth in the short-term and hoping that they’ll stick around because moving to another service is such a pain in the ass.
Google is raising my Google Workspace pricing claiming all the “AI value” added.

I turned off Gemini in Gmail and Docs because it just doesn’t work / do anything useful for me.

So why am I being charged more?

Having costs b/c of AI is not the same as generating value with AI…

Care home investors rake in billions from pensioners

96% of elderly care privatised. Private equity moving in.

Focus on short-term profits, cut wages/staff, low investment, poor care.

27% price hike. £1.5bn taken by shareholders.

Need integrated healthcare, not sharks.

Although Parliament was in recess for a couple of weeks over Easter, my work for our community is all year round.

I got a lot done championing change for our community, and my team and took on hundreds more cases for fellow residents.

Here are some April highlights:

I desperately want this platform to take over from the toxic nightmare that is X, but I definitely need to find some more accounts to follow and inspire me!

Can we all repost each others accounts to boost engagement?

Sometimes I feel hopeless about what is happening to the NHS and what people are doing about it. I think we either need to go all in, find the millions of people who care and get a *lot* louder, or we give up.

I want to go all in, but I can’t go all in alone. Share if you think we need to fight.
