When my sons were KS2 age, we went through all the Harry Potter books, a chapter a night, & would watch the film after finishing each book

I’m now enjoying the same experience with my daughter’s and it’s so special.

Tonight was The Chamber of Secrets turn to be watched

Interesting article, have been saying the same for a while now.

We enjoyed our work’s Xmas party at Sixes, brilliant evening

People are looking for more from their socialising nowadays I think, funny to think in that very building Sixes is in, 20yrs ago we were binge drinking 50p drinks.

So pleased this building is being repurposed and for such a worthwhile, life changing charity
Work has begun transforming the famous Severn View services at Aust, near Bristol.
I remember going here as a kid to eat in the big restaurant overlooking the bridge. It looks amazing what they've got planned for it now

At Members Forum on 10th December 2024 the Lib Dem Chair of the Public Health & Communities Committtee was *unable* to reassure me that there would be no cuts to library staff.

Seems like he’s now seen sense, under pressure from councillors like myself. I call that a win for Bristol Labour.

Is follow back Friday a thing for Blue Sky??

I desperately want this platform to take over from the toxic nightmare that is X, but I definitely need to find some more accounts to follow and inspire me!

Can we all repost each others accounts to boost engagement?

A fantastic evening:

1. Was mistaken for the wonderful future WECA Mayor Helen Godwin not once, not twice, but by 3 separate people
2. Was unanimously voted as Vice Chair of our Thornbury & Yate Labour Party
3. Made a giant Victoria sponge which fell over but was saved and tasted amazing 🎂

Looking for any feedback or advice from anyone who has brought in free sanitary products in their businesses/community buildings

How have you implemented it, how well has it been received?

It was something I championed through my town council but now looking into larger scale potentially 🙏🤞

Who else is coming? If you’ve never been to a Labour Conference before, a regional conference is a great introduction!

We’re out all year round in Southmead.

Yesterday talking to local residents and letting them know about the savage cuts proposed by the Green-Lib Dem led administration. Also promoting our WECA mayoral candidate Helen Godwin.

Today, our monthly litter pick.

Happy New Year, Blue Sky!

I lost track of my login for a bit, but I’m back now! I’m planning to keep my social media use to a minimum since it can be so addictive, but I’d love to use this account as a personal blog and to share insights about my political journey as well.

Take care everyone x

One of the kids at school dreams of joining the police & was invited, along with friends, to tour their HQ. The effort put into the visit was incredible, making the kids feel so special that I cried happy tears. This isn’t just great community policing - it’s being truly fantastic human beings.

Cannot wait to enjoy this sight!
We're counting down the days until the #CliftonSuspensionBridge is lit up again!

The old lights had to be removed to paint the ironwork, so we have a brand new scheme being installed ready for a switch-on as soon as the painting is done.
