Say it with me: Nobody knows what goalie interference is in the NHL, least of all the refs and the league war room.

This is why I support freedom of expression.

Appropriately, it is the chaos of a system that supports free speech that gives rise to the grand process of democratic self-governance and the ideally upward arc of human progress and flourishing.

Yesterday a Stoppard play, today a tweet.

part of why i find books with unreliable narrators interesting is that as the reader, you’re constantly trying to asses whether the thing the narrator is experiencing is real, or only real to them.

this, i think, is how we should treat the vast majority of social media posts.

Takeover Tour this season (x2), but maybe home to a PWHL team in future seasons? We can hope!
Anyway, tickets acquired to both games!

‘The use of force shocks the conscience’: Judge issues sweeping injunction on Chicago tactics of immigration agents

That was an instant classic of an MLB game. Toronto really pulled it out in dramatic fashion
And the Ohtani demigod performance to secure a World Series berth is one for the ages.
That said, I could do without yet another year where smaller-market teams give way to big payroll teams.

It’s weird to hear the name “Torkelson” not in reference to family lore from the old country.
(In this case, the first RBI of the MLB postseason goes to Torkelson.)
