Elias, one of the immigrants in this case, was detained by ICE on his way to his dialysis treatment.

It was one of countless warrantless ICE arrests we've seen in DC.

While detained, Elias was denied the care he needed and his health worsened. He died last week — just days before this ruling.

yeah lucas raymond remains elite
At 23 years old, Lucas Raymond is currently producing more expected goals above replacement/60 (xGAR/60) and scoring more than both Mitch Marner and Nikita Kucherov did at the same age.

The Red Wings have a superstar and he’s locked up on a ridiculously team-friendly deal

it’s beyond comprehension that scenes like this have become routine in chicago.

masked soldiers are carelessly lobbing chemical weapons—that are banned from use during warfare—on random residential streets.

this is the third time feds have tear-gassed residents in chicago *this week!*

Birthdays are important
Honestly just as happy for @slangsonsports.bsky.social about Tarik Skubal winning the AL Cy Young Award on his birthday as I am for him. He's only the second player to win a BBWAA award on his birthday, joining Roy Campanella (who won his second MVP on his 32nd birthday, in 1953)

If I had to rank the Top 3 FA starting pitching fits for the Tigers in 2025 based on fit (reclamation/fixer uppers), and likelihood (1 year deal with potential to earn a larger contract), I believe it would go like this:

1. Frankie Montas
2. Walker Buehler
3. Shane Bieber
