When we abandon families to individualism and show kids that we don't care about them, they're a nuisance or an afterthought, we are collectively raising children who feel devalued, leading to adults who treat others the way they were treated. And the cycle continues.

I remember listening to something that was like “why is southern heritage always someone defending the confederacy instead of any of the other southern stuff” and I kind of feel that way with masculinity where most masculinity can just be naming the best baseball players by WAR and not hating women

Who’s more beholden to their donors and stockholders than their constituents, patients, and clients? Who’s dead on arrival? If we know it’s divide & conquer why we so divided? Who said trans-rights ain’t human rights? What you scared of? Why wouldn’t we care for the disabled ?

That a dude with a couple cameras and a plate of appetizers can make something worth $82.5 million and a media company looks at that and goes "couldn't we make even more money if we had AI do it?" tells you exactly how stupid these people are
The $82.5 million sale of "Hot Ones" studio First We Feast is part of a broader strategy at BuzzFeed to shift away from human editors, writers and content producers in favor of artificial intelligence, which result in "high-margin, tech-enabled revenue lines."
BuzzFeed sells "Hot Ones" studio for $82.5 million as it pursues more AI-driven content
The company said the sale will allow it to depend less on human-created content in favor of "high-margin, tech-enabled revenue lines."

I am beyond prepared to be called a gigantic loser for this take.

But the NBA re-making “Jingle Hoops” and it all just being AI stinks and contributes to the setting of a worldwide precedent that you don’t need skills like acting when someone can just render it digitally.
