The University of Cologne plans drastic cuts to its Political Science department, potentially abolishing the MSc in Political Science and eliminating the professorships in IR and Comparative Politics. This would severely weaken the social sciences at @unicologne.bsky.social.

Another sign of gender polarisation of voting behaviours among young men and women. This time Germany. 27% of young men 18-24 voted AFD while only 14% of young women have. The latter voted largely for left progressive parties. If you break this down to east men vs west women the gap will be larger.

Gestern war die Übergabe des Policy Papers der jugend-enquete-kommission.de zum Alterssicherungssystem. Themen sind der Niedriglohnsektor, der Gender Pension Gap und die Finanzierung und konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen dazu. U.a. das Rentensplitting: epetitionen.bundestag.de/content/peti...
