116 legal and policy experts have now opposed Labor’s new powers for police to recommend cutting payments from people without them even having been convicted of a crime.

Cops shouldn’t be anywhere near welfare law and Labor should withdraw this amendment. www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/treat...

This guy makes some compelling points & then you find he is a NAFO fellow so clearly gives no shits for the minority Russian Ukrainians oppressed & displaced from 2014 to 2022 by a far right ethno supremacist regime in Kiev put in power by a CIA NED sponsored coup d’etat in 2014

This is the reality of Labour’s hateful immigration proposals. People who have already fled fear and persecution, now living in constant fear of persecution
As many of you know, I do a lot of volunteer work with asylum seekers and refugees. One thing that’s going on is that Labour’s hostility towards migrants and the counterbattery from Tories and Reform is causing horrific fear and anxiety among vulnerable people who deserve our protection.

In July, at work, we organised a visit to the SLV.
A. We were all amazed and grateful at the offerings there, and
B. It was SO busy! Not just tourists, though, but heaps of people studying and researching and learning.

There’s no excuse for cutting staff / services. #AusPol #VicPol #SpringSt
The State Library of Victoria’s ‘major’ proposed cuts include slashing the number of reference librarians and free computers for public access. Some staff are shocked.

It was clear from the start that Labor didn’t really want to host the CoP climate summit.

Labor didn’t want to be grilled by the world over the North West Shelf gas extension, or their 31 coal and gas approvals, or their pathetic climate target.
