I even get the Nate Silver argument that if the media had been tougher on Biden's age/mental acuity he would have gotten out of the race earlier and Dems would have been better off. But I just can't see an argument why the more senile candidate (Trump) should get less age/senility scrutiny.

I fully admit that a certain amount of my media criticism is vibe based (this is mostly a humor account and humor tends to be vibe-based). But when you see a statistic like this...well it's pretty clear that my central criticism of establishment media is correct.

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
