Got a question for The Opportunity Party?

Come meet our new leader today at the Grey Lynn Festival

Some red-pilled looney is going to proclaim the Q Anon messiah has arrived....those who tell...
Meet Qiulae Wong, the leader of TOP 2.0 Qiulae (pronounced queue-lay, just 'Q' to her friends) has spent her career fighting for better ways to do business. As a mum of two, business founder and climate leader, Q knows what it takes to build policy that puts people first.

Let's build it.

The emperor has no clothes.

A student of English literature as Minister of Finance. A political novice for Prime Minister. Anti abortionist for Minister of Health.

Zero qualifications gets you piss poor results.
The Coalition government thought all they had to do was reverse the policies of the previous government, give tax breaks to landlords and slash spending on public services.

How's that workin' out for ya?

The current government has made themselves hugely unpopular with their nefarious legislative agenda rammed through under urgency. TOP has a golden "opportunity" to harness this anti-incumbent energy.
But the question is, what are *you* going to do about? Endlessly rotating between Labor and Nats is not going to move the country forward.

Progress requires change.

Vote different.

This is an indicator of consequences to weakth "trickling" upwards when tax cuts/redistribution favours the already rich.

We are seeing similar headlines with food prices, incomes, education costs, transport, etc.

It all goes back to govt decisions to who-pays-what.

The Government's means testing for jobseeker benefits is is typical of their myopic, populist approach to governance. It will not build skills, create jobs or prepare youth for the impact of AI.

TOP believes Aotearoa needs a comprehensive overhaul of taxes and income support to give youth a chance.

TOP backs a Land Value Tax
because-

1. it lowers incentives for speculation and encourages landowners to put property into productive use
2. taxing it's value is cheaper and easier as it can't be hidden or easily avoided
3. it discourages urban sprawl which supports the environment

Luxon can't do maths apparently, telling school leavers to “get off the couch, stop playing PlayStation and go find a job”. Yet his own government has eliminated 9502 public service jobs* and tanked the economy causing the rise in unemployment to 5.2% and fall in our GDP.

NZ friends, there will be a doctor strike tomorrow and Wednesday unless a miracle happens today (narrator: there will be no miracle because this govt is incompetent). This is a union action. Do not assume because 'doctors are rich' that this doesn't bite or it 'isn't a real labour action'.
