Donald Trump announces his a "trade deal" with Vietnam, which increases taxes on American consumers while decreasing taxes on Vietnamese consumers.

The zero-rate tariff offer in Vietnam was proposed on April 4. He's essentially done nothing in 3 months.

A true genius at work. The art of the deal.

The Olympics had allowed trans women to compete since the 2004 games.

Out of 10s of thousands of competitors, only one trans woman ever qualified. She came last.

Zero medals. Zero.

Zero.

Yet the far right has convinced elites they were dominating.

we should not be letting any company get away with blaming AI for their failures. I'm not even sure how we got to this point. people are like "it's just a tool" okay so is a forklift and we still hold somebody responsible when it goes wrong and hurts someone. this is YOUR AI!

I suppose it’s something to imagine that in addition to being yelled at by us they are also being yelled at by House reps, some of whom probably have their real phone numbers
The proposal is “not a deal," says Democratic U.S. House Rep. Ritchie Torres.

@democrats.senate.gov Please focus. The president is currently being resoundingly boo'd at a football game. There was a blue tsunami of votes just a few days ago. Polling increasingly demonstrating that the American public understand that this is all TRUMP and the Rep fault. Do NOT cave.

"Some Senate democrats" signal willingness to cave, grovel, and shovel shit. Again. I can think of three or four obvious ones but how are they getting to 7? Only if Schumer is one of them.

I thought this was an Onion post. And honestly, I could understand this directive from countries with free healthcare but why should the US give a shit when they don't pay a dime for anyone's care, let alone that of visitors and migrants

There are moments when I have this sick impulse to browse X. I don't. But it's weird. Like an addiction twitch. Brain chemistry fucked permanently by an app and an algorithm. Bluesky is like methadone, I suppose.

Again, cult. Looks like a cult. Quacks like a cult. This has all the vibes of 'aliens coming to rescue us from the destruction of the world on <specific date>'.
What's deeply funny about this:

It's mostly tied to 10 year targets around robo taxis and Tesla sales figures he has zero chance of meeting.

So it's just pure delusion on all sides. 12 year old brains doing 12 year old 'cool' things all round.

The truly maddening thing is that, unlike when I was a young man in science and the materials and engineering just weren’t there yet, the future is *right there.* The problem is *solved*. What’s holding us back is not just greed, but this bizarre nostalgia, an obsession with petro- masculinity.

So, all the Corporate Democrats who said Dems can only win by by "running to the center," or "siding with Israel on Gaza" or "not being distracted by the Trans issue," should shut up & have the humility to listen.

Zohran is what happens when you run FOR justice rather than just against Trump.
