About time she starts to do something representative. Now she needs some kind of action backing that. I know she's unable to initiate impeachment proceedings as a Senator, but perhaps she could lean on the Nevada delegation. Rubberstamp Amodei can't be counted on to hold anything in this
Sen. Jacky Rosen is calling for the impeachment of Kristi Noem.

"Kristi Noem and her department's latest attempt to mislead the American public regarding the brutal and unjustified killing of Alex Pretti is deeply shameful, and she must be impeached and removed from office immediately."

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

Attorney General Pam Bondi: "Our country was founded on law enforcement"
Bondi: "It's extremely organized. The signs they have are all matching, they're well written. And look at what's happening today. How did these people go out & get gas masks? These protesters. Would you know how to walk out on the street and buy a gas mask? Think about that. We're not gonna have it"

It may actually be good for the republic to never have “the presumption of regularity” ever again.
Understand that 370 days ago even bringing a motion like this would probably have been treated as sanctionably frivolous

Today it was granted ex parte
A federal judge issues a restraining order against the feds, barring them from "destroying or altering evidence"

Our country was founded on independence — aspirational and clumsily attempted as it was — and has been sullied by this sort of servile, vapid Dick Wolfish law enforcement worship.

Really good turnout at the Reno vigil-rally tonight, especially since it was a very last-minute thing (I think the email was sent maybe 4 hours before the scheduled start time). Had to be at least 300 that I saw. Maybe more; I'm not that good at estimation.

That sounds real nice, but we've already seen that either you'll have currently safe Democrats vote otherwise, or you have no actual control. So how are we supposed to take this at face value?
Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.

As @kenwhite.bsky.social has said before: "A government that deliberately abandons the rule of law is not morally entitled to its protections."

We have eclipsed that tipping point.

I'm not a big fan of abortion; I'm pro-choice, but wouldn't generally recommend abortion to someone asking my advice/opinion.
However, there were apparently a lot of precognizant people 54 years ago. Shame they also weren't more convincing.
