Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

Ladies and gentlemen, the King, Elvis. It’s good to be Elvis. He had a walk and a 💩 and an ice cream shot and now he’s poolside for some sun. Happy Weekend to all!

Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you:

Our funding depends on usage.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

There have been attempts to portray Adam Friedland as the next Jon Stewart, and as the long sought-after Joe Rogan of the left. But this rhetoric strips him of his organic appeal, Brady Brickner-Wood writes.
Adam Friedland’s Comedy of Discomforts
His rendition of the talk show is innately subversive, at direct odds with the squeaky-clean, white-bread humor that is typical of its cable counterpart.

i really think the only reason we haven't created new states — which was a common political tactic in the 19th century, see nevada and the dakotas — is that 50 is a round number

Dems should fight on every front.

If Texas steals 5 seats, Dem states should redistrict 30 GOP members out of their districts.

We should insist DOJ release the entire Epstein File.

Not only shouldn't we bring knives to a gun fight, if they bring pistols, we should bring machine guns.
