A Trump supporter started murdering his way through an assassination list of Democratic law makers FIVE MONTHS AGO. He murdered my colleague Melissa Hortman, and her husband Mark — and attempted to assassinate my dear friend John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. I was also on the hit list. WTF

The Epstein Files bill has a lot of protections in it to prevent Bondi from doing what we all suspect she's going to do: hold back or redact because of an open investigation or national security concerns. If she improperly withholds, she'll be sued, and SCOTUS will eventually decide.

This is the indecent where the agent rammed her with his car, pulled a gun on her, and said “do something, bitch.” He later bragged about it in text messages.
New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.

One agent shot Martinez, with evidence presented to the court that he later bragged about in text messages.

Today would be a good day to help flip the Senate blue. #Blue26

He’s calling for the execution of congressional military veterans.
Is there ever a line for the demented cult otherwise known as the GOP?

The completely and utterly deranged POTUS, who constantly acts like a completely unhinged maniac, has now called for killing Democrats in Congress who say the military shouldn’t follow *ILLEGAL* orders. He is a fucking lunatic.

A reminder that one of them is AZ Sen. Mark Kelly, whose wife is former Representative Gabby Giffords, who was shot in the head in 2011.
Trump is calling for the six Democratic lawmakers who urged the military not to follow any illegal orders to be arrested, and he’s reposting replies saying they should be hanged and calling them terrorists.

How awful. This is outright health disinformation, lying to the American people. Not only is there massive evidence showing no link between vaccines & autism, there’s not even a plausible mechanism based on what we’ve learned about the genetics of autism, some environmental exposures in pregnancy
HEADS UP: CDC website now officially asserts that vaccines may cause autism.“Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.” Also says the “vaccines do not cause autism” header remains b/c of an agreement with Cassidy.

Now this should be interesting.
Breaking: The House voted unanimously, 426-0, to strip a provision in the funding bill that allowed senators to sue the government for $500K if their phone data was searched without their knowledge.

The provision was designed for GOP senators to sue over the Jack Smith investigation.

Calvin Duncan because of his disadvantages has proved he is a better lawyer than Lindsey Halligan, or Todd Blanche, or Pam Bondi.
He spent decades in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Now he's an elected official
Calvin Duncan spent nearly 30 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Last week, he won the election for clerk of court in New Orleans Parish, a role he calls his dream job.

Incompetence is the watchword of this administration, but it must not stand as a defense to actual malice and insurrection.
Their sheer incompetence and general ickiness to most people are mostly canceling out their evil and ambition.
I'm fully happy to say that we're in some form of unconsolidated competitive authoritarian regime - I think it's probably your best way of describing what's going on. Though I'd also argue that particular nature of American politics is not just limited to Trump.

a) If you understand the risks, you won't install it.
b) If you DON'T understand the risks, Microsoft has instructed you not to install it.

Therefore,

"Microsoft warns that Windows 11's agentic AI could install malware on your PC: 'Only enable this feature if you understand the security implications.'"

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

Already, writes Anthony Sanders, official remedies such as the Federal Tort Claims Act and so-called Bivens actions tend to fail in delivering relief to victims of federal law enforcement abuse. If the military takes over policing, expect things to get even worse. [@theunpopulist.net]
If Soldiers Become Cops, Americans Will Have Even Less Legal Redress Against Abusive Law Enforcement
This is yet another reason why President Trump should not be allowed to call in the military for fighting crime
