My favorite part of having cats is watching them take out their favorite toys each day and spread them all around the house. I put them back, and they take them all out again. It’s just like motherhood but without the “please clean up the toy room!”

I’m completely alone in a very quiet, totally clean house with two sleeping cats. No kids, no husband… and I honestly cannot remember the last time I got to experience such bliss.

It’s horrifying that it’s come to this, but as someone with a deep affinity for Europe I feel moved seeing that continent come together to try to save itself in the absence of any meaningful aid from the totalitarian regime that’s in the midst of taking over the United States through an illegal coup
