A reminder that this anti-trans panic is 100% bullshit and exactly none of our country’s problems are related to someone expressing their gender identity and everyone who isn’t a hate-filled weirdo knows it.

The thing about the Democratic Party is this:
If it ever managed to become the fighting force we want and need it to be, if it somehow managed to stop giving up, stopped throwing our wins to the GOP...it would not only get more support from its own base, it would actually pull voters from the GOP.

This is precisely 180° backwards, @kaine.senate.gov. You turned the hardship of these workers into failure. That doesn't earn you a good night's sleep, bro, it earns you enmity, fury, and rage. Those are your earnings from yesterday. Enjoy, bud.
Sen. Kaine on his vote for funding deal
“I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct. 1, because I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed federal worker would say to me at church”

A considered read from our very own Bruce Lawson:
“A.I.” browsers: the price of admission is too high vivaldi.com/blog/a-i-bro...
It’s a cliché that “data is the new oil” that will power the next industrial revolution. Where does the data that powers Artificial Intelligence come from? And if data is the fuel for AI, what is the product?

Can't wait for primary season.
Some thoughts on the CR/minibus.
1 The Dems negotiating with Rs were not freelancing. They coordinated with Sen Schumer. A few were ready to give in on day one, others worked to maximize appropriations wins.
Those voting for the 'deal' are the ones furthest away from electoral consequences.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

People need to understand that Chicago is a preview, not a culmination.
I have been actively watching contracts and surge funding over the last few days and what I would say to my friends in Baltimore is “be absolutely ready, right now.”
ICE poised to ramp up raids in Baltimore by Thanksgiving
The Trump administration has rush-ordered infrastructure to conduct raids, abduct residents, and detain people for months.

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Resign, @schumer.senate.gov. Resign today. And tell Jeffries to do the same.

Sometimes I feel like I really haven't accomplished anything in life and then I remember that I still haven't given in and begun carrying an illuminated hand sign that reads "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" in my car to hold up at other motorists, and feel a bit better.
