There are pickets in the Portland area as well!

Don't be a scab, drink local coffee until Starbucks comes to the table in good faith to negotiate a contract with their "partners".

🚫🐀🐀🐀🚫
For over a month, @sbworkersunited.org has been on strike for a union contract.

We stand with these workers. Starbucks needs to bargain in good faith and finally reach a first contract with baristas.
We're back! Baristas on ULP strike have once again brought the picket line to Starbucks's biggest regional distribution center in York, PA.

We're making sure that Starbucks hears us: we need finalized contracts, an end to union-busting, and resolution to all outstanding unfair labor practices.

I am many, a culmination of past lives, the iterations of self that formed along the span of a single lifetime. Plus all those beside me, friends, family, loved ones, ancestors, guides, deities, nature spirits, and so much more. Witches transcend humanity's isolation.

Chag Sameach to all who celebrate. 🕎

Let light shine a beacon of hope in the darkness and glow in our hearts.
It’s the first night of Hanukkah and the world seems like a very dark place. But we can bring light to the darkness. We can fight for each other and make goodness, love, and community shine through.

Show me your menorahs and let’s light up the timeline!

As a veteran, I would like to say, if you don’t stand up to ICE, I am comfortable saying you are un-American.
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

Today my friend, her adult daughters, and one of their friends went to a goth cafe to get photos with Krampus. He genuinely seemed to enjoy the whole thing. It was definitely a beautiful moment. And I got to sit on his lap. 😆 There was also some gorgeous art for sale and I got a cool linocut print.

6,000 faculty members at Penn State has filed for a union.

These professors and other faculty will vote on unionizing in the coming year.

If they win their union it will be the largest public union in Pennsylvania.

We had been discussing adopting another cat, one that is closer in age to our 2 year old because even though the 15 (ish) year old is playful, he deserves some peace.

So we found this guy at the humane society where I volunteer and his bio said he likes other cats. Currently he's sequestered lol.

We’re proud to lead the resistance to Trump’s union-busting, & we’re winning. Now the Senate needs to immediately pass this bill and deliver for working people.

Rob Reiner was a national treasure. Is still a national treasure, because aside from his amazing body of entertainment work, the legacy of his activism cannot be forgotten.
I worked for a pediatric journal at that time, and he was such a help to early childhood intervention. He was able to explain what they were doing without using words like "intervention."
