This is Buddy napping next to me. Both the cats love to hang out and be near by. Buddy doesn't sleep with us, so when he has enough alone time, he wakes us in the morning by yelling to get us to get up. Cats make their needs known. 😻

People ask me "why kelp is important". There's not enough space for all the reasons here but big reasons are that kelp can grow faster than any other any species fixing CO2, providing shelter and food. Urchins eat kelp plus they're "messy" eaters so they feed other species nearby.

I'm going to be trying a few unique things this year. Along with my usual zucchini, onions, green beans, and herbs, I bought an assortment of Medieval vegetable seeds. It's got salsify, Good King Henry, sorrel, fat hen, and mâche (aka French corn salad).

I watched "American Mary" earlier, and honestly? She's now in my top tier of female horror characters.
