Contemplating the strange human species, & my life as a beef cow.
Biodiversity, ecosystems, extinctions, climate, pollution, plastics, animal rights, sentience, anti-speciesism

Science, systemic change, individual action.

Of course I'm vegan, I'm a cow.

I follow many people on here who aren't vegan, because they align with my other values & hopes for human society. I absolutely disagree with some of their lifestyle choices (for instance, I'd rather they didn't want to eat me) but that doesn't stop me from appreciating & learning from their wisdom❤️

As with smoking though, the truth will out eventually, and change will come.

This failure is why the #ClimateMovement is itself a failure of the highest magnitude & why nonVegan climate activism is not only a joke, but an active part of the problem. Either walk the walk or stfu.

What is our responsibility as scientists when our findings are ignored and our warnings disregarded?

At the Public Forum, after several talks and discussion, we concluded: Given the scale and urgency of the climate crisis, „science as usual“ is not an option.

It’s a simple concept: #AdoptDontShop
Animals aren’t here for humans to use and abuse any way they see fit. They’re not here to be bred for profit, not by dog/cat breeders for “pets”, not to be used in experimentation, and especially not for food. Choose kindness and compassion. Choose #vegan

The 20th-century economist Robert Solow created the theory of infinite economic growth by substituting "technological innovation" for the productivity of land in his model, thereby decoupling the economy from any limits imposed by land or ecosystems.

The world took his theory as gospel.

People who eat chicken corpses voted for a regime who actively wants them to also have salmonella with their corpse.

Worried? then I suggest you shift to eating plant-based foods (plant foods aren't entirely without risk regarding food poisoning, but far less of a risk than eating animal products)

Humans, you don't need to eat pigs. You can make delicious plant-based recipes from scratch, or there are plenty of ready-made plant-protein sausages, burgers, rashers available 💚🌱

This isn't an isolated case of animal abuse, it's standard practice on many pig farms around the world💔🐷
We have other food options but they don't have another life. Take a stand for them by choosing more plant-based foods.
