It strikes me as odd that a vast majority of adult humans find the idea of drinking human milk revolting yet they’re ok drinking the milk of another species. Humans have grown up in a box that is the dairy industry. Think outside that box. Climb out of the box. Stop supporting unimaginable cruelty.

Indeed it would require far less land, as instead of growing food for 80 billion animals AND 8 billion people we’d just need to grow food for the 8 billion people. We grow more than enough to feed everyone but millions starve to death while so much food goes to animals humans then kill.

The ‘I almost died on a vegan diet’ argument reminds me of one a lot of smokers used to use to justify not quitting that went something like ‘my grandfather smoked 12 packs of unfiltered cigarettes every day and lived to be 120’ (slight hyperbole there).

Overdoses & suicides aside, everyone I know who is dead died of diseases that almost certainly could have been prevented w a healthy plant based diet, yet everyone claims to know of someone who went vegan & nearly died 🤦♀️

As long as the meat industry proliferates its lies about the necessity of eating meat to be healthy, it's gonna remain an uphill battle. Need to have those lies not only exposed but legally banned, like other misleading claims about food.

We’re conditioned by the agro-industrial complex to be irrationally and emotionally tied to our food choices, and I don’t mean we vegans. Vegan choices are rooted in ethics; not crass commercialism. Sounds judgmental, I know. What can I say? 🤷🏻♂️
