Emissions, fossils fuels & deforestation are symptoms - not causes like overpopulation, cows & cars. That we discuss symptoms only is a feature and not a bug.

Mitigation & adaptation are the same:
- Birth control
- Plant based
- Local
- Low tech

UPDATE: The likelihood that humans will go extinct by 2100 is 80%.

"Under current trends, we hit 3°C within 25 years - meaning that avoiding extinction, not just collapse, would require population and consumption reduction beginning immediately, not post-2050"

This famous "Uncharted" paper speaks about 6 billion deaths by 2100 but it didn't assume 3°C by 2050. It was "more optimistic".

We have to break the taboo and model humans deaths and extinction likelihood.

What is #TunaTuesday?

Tuna is an apex predator of the oceans and eats cats of the sea. Feeding apex predators to house cats is one of the most insane things one can do. Why not feed them tigers? Keeping meat eating pets is also not very sane, now that we are in #overshoot.

The best things in life can be free. Like #food. Buy some supermarket 🦪 oyster #mushrooms to start growing them without work or costs forever in your own garden. Growing in nature means NO need to sterilize since outdoor conditions are not as prone to contamination as indoor methods.

This is NOT the talk. The talk is:

"We wanted to have children, eat animals, drive cars and knowingly destroyed all life on Earth."

Population growth and rising incomes remain the strongest drivers of increases in CO2 emissions from fossil-fuel combustion and industrial processes."

What does Europe use plant crops for?
1. Torturing and killing animals
2. Cars
3. Human food

Ecologists who claim that overpopulation is an issue - usually also reduce their consumption.

Technocrats who claim that population is not an issues - usually don't reduce their consumption.

The technocrats are the majority and we will soon go extinct.

Trees are sadly functionally extinct. Their long growth cycles make adaption via open and promiscuous cross pollination impossible in fast changing climates like today.

What is the worst insult for narcissists?

Stephen Jenkins explains this well.
I hear you.

Sometimes we don't need inspiration. Sometimes we need grieving skills? Unless we can befriend grief as a companion and part of the journey, we cannot feel joy?

We treat grief and negative feelings as a disease and this takes away life before death.

I know Malthus well. We use this racist economist to create a false dichotomy aka #denial.

Technocrats claim that it's about consumption while they want to consume more and grow more humans.

Ecologists claim that it's about population AND consumption and want to reduce both.

There are zero effective treatments for #depression or #ADHD.
Mental issues are not medical, they are environmental. When we are in a dark place and can't see, it's not because we are clinically blind. It's not in our brains, it's in our environment. Humans work hard to destroy the environment.

We added 560 million new humans since Covid.

This means record deforestation of old growth forests aka meat & dairy.

Population growth causes US emissions to rise the most.

Technocrats think that the end of growth is the end of prosperity and humanity.

Ecologists think that more growth is the end of prosperity and humanity.

Both can't be right. Either the Earth is flat and infinite or a finite sphere.
