We've added 900M cars since 2015. Less than 10% EVs. Moving 2000kg to transport 150kg is 95% waste. At 1.5°C & 81% energy from fossil fuels, we need to remove 10 IC cars before adding a new EV.

We have a big issue where citizens in rich countries can hide real emissions by importing them instead of producing them locally. It takes time to calculate all the net import/export effects but this is what matters in the end. Also, when the EU buys an EV, it doesn't remove but hides' the ICE car.
