If I were in a comic book, I'd be the walk-on mad scientist who accidentally mutates himself into a monster, leading to the obligatory fight with the hero.

What we’re being told is that a guy who is an adjudicated rapist, who was credibly accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, who is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files, couldn’t possibly be a sexual predator.

I am just saying, if scouting offered a badge in Creepy Effigy Avoidance, we could prevent a lot of these problems.

Cannot say this enough: Most of the people in charge in the US right now are bottom of the barrel dipshits with very low competency, utterly deluded worldviews, no sense of community, and no moral or ethical compass.

Did you ever wonder what you would have done as a citizen in historical times of incredible cruelty: slavery, the holocaust, etc.?

You don't have to wonder anymore! You're doing it!

It is officially time for the Democratic Party to stop wasting money on their out of touch consultant class, and start paying for insights from Bluesky posters named "<--- kill me" and "Kicked In The Farm Parts"

It should not be understated how much clever shit like this actually annihilates morale at places like ICE/CBP.

Getting made fun of like this on national television while people laugh at you is.. well, you may call it victory wine, but it ain't.

One of the cool things about having the @scalzifamily.foundation is that it makes it easy to do local "improvement of life" stuff like this. We also paid off school lunch debt in town, donate to local libraries and museums and generally try to make where we live a little bit nicer all around.
Found at my favorite Miami County Park (Maple Ridge). Thank you @scalzi.com & @athenascalzi.com for your donation! My dad's science teacher, WW Coy, owned the property when dad was young and he fondly remembers fishing in the river & the pond as a teen. The bench rests by Coy Pond.

Magic: The Gathering has Tyvar and Tibalt, and I keep wondering with each new October book if this will be the one in which Seanan introduces a Tivar to go with Tybalt….

Even though I knew what was coming from Sleep No More, The Innocent Sleep was a great read - juxtaposing Tybalt’s view with October’s in 2 books added amazing depth/context w/o yanking the reader’s attention to-and-fro repeatedly as it would have been in a single book
