If you’re looking for something to read this weekend, I’ve published 13 short pieces this year with 2 more coming soon. I figured I’d make a thread of just a few of my faves that are free-to-read. (You can still find my complete eligibility post through my link in bio) 🧵

It's the last month of 2025, & this year, I published two short stories, one novella, and one novel. ❤️

My short story "Mail-Order Magic" is one of the most personal pieces I've ever written, and it's free to read at

It seems to me people are always looking for novelettes to consider for awards. Can confirm this is a good one. Check it out.
As Nebula nominations are opening up, I would like to offer my novelette, "Phantom View," which is free-to-read at Reactor! It's a story of disabilities and the supernatural that I've always wanted to write.
"Phantom View" is a novelette about disabled caretakers, disabled parents, and ghostliness itself being a disability. It's one of my most personal stories.

You can read it for free at @reactorsff.bsky.social!

I didn't publish a lot in 2025, but I'm proud of what I did publish. I'd especially love it if you'd consider my poem "the jacarandas are unimpressed by your show of force" (eligible for the Nebula, Hugo, and Rhysling awards). strangehorizons.com/wordpress/po...

Yup. Dump this guy.
Writers, especially women/femmes/nbs:

If you have a partner who does this, DUMP THEM. This isn't "uwu I was worried about you, baby🥺" This is a scheming asshole move to control you. He wants you to be a good tradwife and take care of babies and make dinner, not write YOUR stories. REMOVE HIM

If I had my way, my story would remain fiction forever.
Given the way we're already seeing old actors youngified and deceased actors undeaded through the dubious magic of "AI," @cornellwriter.bsky.social's "Through the Machine" (www.lightspeedmagazine.com/fiction/thro...) seems like, at most, a decade away?
