i'm really looking forward to your SF series!
Hello new followers! I mostly post about writing, doing scout stuff with my kids, home remodel, and substitute teaching. I am currently working on a far-future sci fi series set on the moons of a gas giant. My currently available novels are:

Don’t be the same dusty ass you were on Twitter. Post your hobbies, your passions, talk with each other, follow people back. There is no reason for someone with like 78k followers to be following a handful of people. Don’t act like you’re an elitist dipshit here. We are nice here, to each other.

i wonder what contingency plans the intelligence community has for a foreign asset becoming president

you know they have one, they're professionally paranoid and not exactly given to transparency and accountability

gonna be real with you, this is giving "i told an AI to write a sitcom script" more than actual LLM output

the thing about LLM output is that it's mush, carefully tuned to minimize emotional impact

so the word "even" in the second sentence clangs in my ear like a comedy sting

that sentence
Over on twitter they've found an excerpt from Goodreads lol x.com/DanThiell/st...

the menswear guy has definitely increased the degree to which i am Terminally Online a wee bit because i don't even care about fashion but i'm cheered up when i see that politicians' quality of tailoring tracks quality of policy views

she's brilliant and creative in ways that are beyond my ken, a wonderful mother, a generous and supportive partner in life and goofiness
I like this idea, please tell me your favorite things about your partner 💕
I think there's a fun thread in this where people weigh in with their favourite things about their partners, because love and soppiness and yelling it from the skytops = ❤️

I was given "abandoned cabin" as a setting prompt. So what would a couple of teenagers be doing there?? Uh, hiding from zombies, OBVIOUSLY.

V. E. Schwab's A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy was an enjoyable read but it lacked depth, it was pulpy; it wasn't a masterwork

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a masterwork

One reason I keep FB around is having recorded moments like this from when 15yo was 6 😂 Her relationship with @coreyyanofsky.bsky.social is basically an extension of it

This anecdote from @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com from an interview that ran in Comics Interview ages ago is dedicated to anyone who might currently be wrestling with a bout of impostor syndrome.

They imprisoned him.

They tortured him.

They tried to forget about him.

They didn't plan on him getting out.

This Summer, Jason Statham is turning a paradise into hell.
