Quite sad we’ve seemingly given up on land use reform (upzoning), bus lanes, bike lanes, etc.

Michelle Wu seems like kind of a disaster for housing in Boston – very little progress on land use reforms, and supporting a quite draconian statewide rent control regime (rent hikes that can be below inflation, vacancy controls, only a 10-year exemption for new construction)? Yikes

Re-Watching Bone Tomahawk (2015)!
With every old west movie, I'm starting to believe that the old west was actually a pretty terrible time and place to live. You go to town & gunslingers bully & demean you, you're lucky if you don't get shot, and medical treatment is a booze wash & amputation!
