A note on Capital Pride being cancelled. Last year Queers 4 Palestine encouraged a pro-Palestinian stance and because Jewish ppl felt left out neither the mayor or anyone from the Liberal party showed up. So this position the mayor is taking is disingenuous

I missed the Ottawa Pride weekend but following up on all the news and comments, I am appalled at the amount of queer people lulled into such complacency that they talk about voting conservative to get back at the left. The ignorance and naivety is straight up scary.

Being a trans person closing on 10 years of HRT is weird. In a way, to the world I'm done. I could stealth and disappear. I could turn in my ticket and socially just be done. But that is reviling to me. I benefited from some of the best years. I owe my younger siblings visibility and leadership.
