Yes! Hoping Merz is on the same page and that we can build a strong, united EU front. Ukraine's (apparently) only other option - signing away mineral rights to Emperor Orange - will only make future generations beholden to another dictatorship. EU needs to step up. The US cannot be trusted.

Step 5 of Dictator Playbook: Install private army answerable only to Leader. Check. (PS @cbsnews.com It's cute that you wonder why Musk wasn't given a Secret Service detail, but let's be brutally clear-eyed about this, shall we?)

Fuuuuuuuuuck.
Elon Musk's private security detail deputized by U.S. Marshals Service, sources say
The U.S. Marshals Service routinely deputizes police. However, the move to deputize private security officers, who are not sworn law enforcement officials, is considered unorthodox

The small but critical gains made since George Floyd's killing? Wiped out thanks to Emperor Orange, who is clearly on a mission to ensure law enforcement agencies are stocked with the kind of brutal bullies he needs to enforce his agenda. Overtly injust and cruel. 😔

If ever there was a clear line about the wrong side of history, a country placing sanctions on a court designed to prosecute those guilty of human rights abuses seems like a pretty bold, flashing one. 🤬

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

Horrific now, but the long implications of these purges are even more terrifying. We are watching real-time the building of a totalitarian state, and are going to need a lot more than hope to stop it from succeeding.

There's been so much noise, and I've become so overwhelmed and desentised to this abominable Gollum, that it's nice to read such a tight synopsis of his horror-show thus far. It's hard to believe he's accomplished all of this 👇🏼 in less than 2 weeks. Frightening.
