a court has officially ruled that transgender people can have warrior ethos
Oh no, I sort of agree with Schopenhauer's critique of Schelling. Schelling repeats Spinoza's error of drawing "the line between the ideal and the real, or the subjective and the objective world, from the wrong place." Extension is still representation, for better or worse.

Since the FBI is considering labelling us nihilistic violent extremists, I'll share my NVE thought of the day:

the trick for ramen chef Anh from Culinary Class Wars recommends (adding a whole head of roast garlic) works for sausage ragu

people who care about palestine should take the time to read Boebert's amendment to the pentagon budget. from the way this is worded the pentagon could order food but not buy technology from businesses with ties to bds

The French lycee near me being back in session is great for the neighborhood but it also means the lines at the Trader Joe at lunch are now impossibly long.

i'm not saying anything is anything, other than it's really noteworthy that a surge of newsom supporters came out of nowhere and continually post things like "why don't you uppity trannies accept gavin as your slop god. i used to support you freaks" whenever we say we don't really like him

Thinking about Marx's summary of Hegel: "It is the bad side that produces the movement which makes history, by providing a struggle." The 1st part is a decent pocket Hegel, let down by the 2nd part. The bad side moves through struggle, but even more through decay and laziness.

Frankfurt School style 'cultural logics' can make pretty good naturalistic sense if we think they are about a practice or ideology's gradient in a cultural-evolution fitness landscape rather than about its internal structure

Previous presidents were more like this than moderates tend to admit. Republicans lionize Reagan as a great statesman; was he really so different? Both men came to power as a result of their media careers. Reagan was mildly more inhibited? Before the dementia?

Shulamith Firestone’s writing captured the utopian spirit of radical feminism. In her last published book, Airless Spaces, she took stock of that movement’s failures amid the crisis of care unleashed by the destruction of the welfare state.

This probably won't reach anyone that needs to see it, but please learn from my mistake. Don't use azelaic acid to treat electrolysis pigmentation while you are still getting electrolysis, it dries out your skin and makes it hurt 2-3x as much as normal.

Ok I know this take will be unpopular and will probably age like milk, but I think the court's latest trans decision isn't as crazy as it looks. Honestly, they're right, defending trans people on the basis of equal protection is a bad strategy.

this is good news, but until the supreme court confirms that trans people exist and are protected by the constitution I remain anxious. we are protected by the 1st amendment, in case you're wondering

BREAKING: A federal judge ruled all transgender and intersex people can obtain passports that align with their gender identity while the case against President Trump's executive order proceeds.

While this is good news, we will continue fighting until this executive order is blocked permanently.
