I know this is prob too optimistic, but I tend to think they are saving their ammo for a case where they want to overwhelmingly rule against Trump. I could somehow forgive all this shit if it means they can do a landmark ruling on trans passports and overturn the EO.

I still think there's hope for trans rights on this court, but only if we change strategy. We need to say we fit into uncontroversial bits of the law. Personally, I think the 1st amendment is a much better target, the rights that matter flow from freedom of conscience and expression.
