It really cannot be overstated how this type of traditionalist propaganda has worked its way into liberal and radical spaces through transphobic feminism. It's the same rhetorical trick--not accepting 'womanhood' (defined as reproductive capacity, naturalized as neutral) is 'misogyny.'

One of the works i wish people knew more about is the 600 pg book Crisis of Britain and the British Empire by Rajani Palme Dutt. After WW2, the UK, afte, wanted to use Nigeria for food surplus until they realised colonialism had ravaged them, so there was massive food defecit for just the locals.

I think ppl in general, and many trans ppl by extension, do not ascribe enough importance to sex/gender autonomy. It's conceived of as silly and frivolous--no, *my* desires are surely grounded in something more *real* than some kind of 'whim.'

For what it's worth the idea of "brain sex in trans people" and differences in the bstc Corpus seems pretty similarly pseudoscientific to me to the many other ideas of biological sex and I think the trans community need to stop attempting to do "sex realism but for good"

It is actively damaging that the wide range of organizing tactics gets reduced to "the most hollow electoralism ever" or "immediately burn something down."
