Thread. If nothing else, this is a reminder of why we need to support organizations like @concurrentseattle.bsky.social, which made us all feel welcomed and seen. And it was fun!
I can confidently say as both someone born, raised, and who has lived almost my entire life in California and as a historian of California history, doing a Manifest Destiny theme at the LA WorldCon is a preposterously bad idea.
