Slightly chaotic. Collector of random hobbies. Lover of pretty dresses.
I’ve been frustrated for at least a year because I want to read and just can’t focus on words on a page. I finally, somehow, broke through my inability to focus on audiobooks and it’s unlocked something. It’s such a relief.

Here’s hoping it sticks and I’ll get lots of knitting and listening done.

Hey Megyn Kelly,

my brain can't process how horrifying all these powerful people are because if I let it sink in I will probably scream for the rest of the week, so it keeps tripping over the fact that they're all borderline illiterate weirdos talking about doing crimes on gmail

I feel most sorry for those without their snap benefits. People should have access to food. Full stop.

However, also want to pour one out for the currently unpaid usda employees who spent yesterday and today scrambling to get payments out to states, only to be jerked around again.

Portland resists with whimsical improv theater, Chicago resists by screaming at weird jagoffs that don’t belong in the neighborhood. Every city brings its own strengths to the fight
The energy we need is this suburban dad standing out in the street -- barefoot with Blackhawks pajama pants on -- screaming at the masked goons to get the fuck out of their neighborhood.

Most ppl know that Chicago (home of modern urban segregation) is a very segregated place but I don't think most outside Chicago (+many Chicagoans!) understand how the *distances* involved and *depth* of segregation mean most white ppl have ZERO visibility into many Black and Latine neighborhoods
