You have until Sunday at 11:59pm to bid in our auction to benefit public media at JohnOliversJunk.com! And it’s not all Bob Ross paintings. There’s also this absolutely gorgeous custom Minor League Baseball jersey, featuring John Oliver's face. Their idea, not ours.

You know, it's very strange. I have been in the business of promoting my new stand-up special “Rini” so long, now that it's over, I don't know what to do with the rest of my life.

Maybe make a wonderful Dread Pirate Roberts?

PS Spreading the word never ends! Watch!

There is some incredible stuff here. Some of it has been solicited before and just… never showed up, so we’ll see what happens. But the new gigantic Heavy Metals they’re publishing now are really good, and I’m hopeful.

Also, the Fed can’t do anything with interest rates to address tariff-driven inflation, because - as was noted during the 2024 campaign - it’s essentially sales tax.
Inflation isn’t all the same. When prices rise because demand is strong, firms earn more and can raise wages. With tariff-driven inflation, firms face higher costs, not higher revenues—so prices go up but paychecks don’t. Same pain, less gain.

Immigrant populations have a nativist group within them - those who feel they did it “right,” and the newer crop are doing it “wrong” - which dovetails with conservatism. When you go after the folks who feel that they’re “the good ones” too, yeah, you’re gonna lose them.
