I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

“For people who are not British citizens, it will be mandatory to show their digital ID to potential employers so they can see their immigration status.”

But that’s how it already works! 😭

UK recognition of the State of Palestine was a promise made to my great grandfather decades ago. While on its own, recognition won’t solve anything without further action, it is a down payment on peace. Today we have just a little more hope, and hope is contagious.

What is happening in Gaza is a genocide. And the President of the United States is doing nothing to stop it.

Keir Starmer must raise this with Trump during the state visit.

Statement from us on today's ruling:

"As LGBT+ Liberal Democrats... we don't think Britain is the sort of country where people should have to show their 'papers, please' in order to use the loo. ...we do not support efforts to legislate in ignorance to enforce conformity."

I guess my biggest questions on this is 1) how is this even practically enforceable in most instances without seriously compromising people’s privacy? And 2) what about people who are born intersex?

Maybe the EA 2010 needs some clarification on terms but is this really the way to go about it?
The United Kingdom's highest court ruled that the definition of a woman under equality legislation referred to 'biological sex,' but it said trans people would not be disadvantaged by its landmark decision reut.rs/4inNUfo 1/7

Despite backing the US in every major conflict this century—and offering to water down our tax on US tech billionaires—we’ve been rewarded with the same tariffs as Iran.

It’s like we’re meant to be grateful Trump gave our friends a black eye and left us with just a wedgie.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau:

"Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada - their closest partner and ally, their closest friend. At the same time, they're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin - a lying murderous dictator. Make that makes sense."
