When will the general science community fully grasp the stupidity of concepts like "science is apolotical" or "science is unbiased"
Science is pursued and assessed entirely by humans. Humans are not bound to any internal logic system. We do not need to be consistent to function.

I'm just glad my tax money goes toward fancier jets for some underpaid 30 y/o to fly so they can drop fancier bombs that will kill more people.
Much more productive than helping rehabilitate the vulnerable people who I see every day of my life in the city I live in, just like everybody else.

Everyone on the internet posts pure hyperbole! They make grand statements and offer confident solutions because that's the only way to get people to engage with it. If your idea leaves room for interpretation, they will ruthlessly exploit it to mock or discredit you. Because winning > accuracy.

This is why I still think that the internet, not the issues, are the root cause of this culture war. People (including journalists…who are people) imagine the loudest, angriest positions as default positions because those are the ones that get eyeballs in an ultra-competitive attention economy.

This is why I still think that the internet, not the issues, are the root cause of this culture war. People (including journalists…who are people) imagine the loudest, angriest positions as default positions because those are the ones that get eyeballs in an ultra-competitive attention economy.
Gamers hate to hear it, but *maybe* decades of killing increasingly realistic civilians in games has desensitized you to the actual reality of violence. You probably don't know anything about how it affects people.

I think people should be more concerned with the term "woke mind virus". An invisible virus was a popular symbol in the past. It encourages people to preemptively distrust everything because you are just "sick". They stop thinking of you as a person, and instead as a symptom of an illness.

Suffering does not build character. Building character isn't a reason to suffer. If you want to "build character," you can use pain and difficulty as a tool to guide you toward a specific goal. Like any tool, it is limited in scope and utility.

Your brain is a pattern/logic recognizing machine, and your personality is built on the patterns your brain knows. You get a lot of these patterns from the other people around you. The patterns you got from other people are usually illogical or incomplete, which is why you are angry all the time.

Nobody in any position of power grew up with access to the internet. Nobody with power was taught the value of empathy. Your "well reasoned argument" isn't gonna subvert anybody's indoctrinated beliefs. If you don't do anything with your logic, your logic is useless.
