To argue that any individual scientist pursued their study for apolitical or unbiased reasons, one must assume the person was never exposed to biases or politics.

They were.

This is a very rational line of thought that people have that may keep them from helping themselves. Just saying a thing you thought doesn't make it a joke.

Just to let you know, a constant or unrelenting inner monologue that reminds you of how things can go wrong is exactly what anxiety is. Realistic or not, it can and will distort the way you perceive the world. It's not realistic to expect the worst outcome every time. I hope you can find more peace

Modern humanity is, in part, the culmination of generations of inherited flawed logic being confronted with more provable knowledge and truth than ever before.

Any trained therapist can tell you that it takes more than "the facts" to convince someone to change.
