the fundamental disconnect between the manosphere and reality is that they are incapable of understanding that this is - according to every woman I’ve ever met - the sexiest thing a man has ever done
eight years ago today we all watched the glory of zendaya falling madly in love with tom holland and the internet was never the same

Having just rewatched the Twin Peaks Pilot to mark its 35th anniversary, I keep thinking about how effectively it introduces the town, the characters and their relationships, and the mystery of Laura Palmer with such efficency and minimal exposition, and truly idiosyncratic mood and atmosphere.
Today is 35 years since the pilot of Twin Peaks first aired on ABC and the show's cultural significance only continues to grow all around the world. Happy 35th anniversary to the greatest fan community that I'm so privileged to be a part of. 💙🙏🙌

Happy 35th to one of the few tv shows to have a profound influence on my life and how I view art and the world around me. My thanks and admiration to David Lynch (wherever he may be), @markfrost.bsky.social, @harleypeyton.bsky.social, and the entire cast and crew. You’re all aces in my book.

Happy 35th anniversary to my favorite television program of all time. As a kid, I watched the pilot live on ABC and instantly fell in love, and I spent the next 25 years falling deeper and deeper into the endlessly enchanting world of Twin Peaks. Thanks again, @markfrost.bsky.social & David Lynch

Me and my now gone Jeep, back in 2019. Kind of wound up being a lemon past a certain point. Le sigh.

From 2021, at the now defunct The Barracks in Cathedral City, just outside of Palm Springs. Man I LOVED that place. Got to meet a long time online friend in the flesh too. Sad it’s no more.

I too was really struck with how dazzling last years 'Wicked' looked... not an easy feat, as movie musicals are pretty notoriously hard to adapt for the big screen.

This video does a great job explaining how the overall look of feature films has downgraded over the last couple of decades.
Why don't movies look like *movies* anymore?
