I wanna highlight this and the reference from @jerrymcm.bsky.social - by Trump's reasoning he should have slapped a 41% tariff on Russia. He did not. Why? Just remember Speaker Pelosi's words right in Trump’s face.

This is exactly right. @djrothkopf.bsky.social explains that treating Trumps tariffs as economic policy misses the point. It’s extortion. Every company, every country will now have to ask him personally for a favor that only he can grant. www.thedailybeast.com/godfather-do...

For those who know Trump and who and what he is best, these destructive tariffs make perfect sense, even if they make no economic sense.

@jonesforar.bsky.social AR candidates need to run as independents. They need to run on a platform of ABUNDANCE. We are the richest nation in the world and could greatly decrease debt as well as fund benefits if wealth were shared. A more fair tax code; Rs are conning us with social scares.

@jonesforar.bsky.social I’ve been writing Sens Cotton and Boozman, Congressman Westerman frequently, asking for town hall meetings, with no response. Is it possible to organize one, record it (maybe with media coverage), and ask our questions to send to them?

Trump handed massive tax cuts to the rich in 2017. Now he's planning even more cuts.

How are Trump and MAGA Republicans planning to pay for them?

By making it harder for millions of Americans to access Medicaid, food stamps, and other federal programs.

Trickle up economics.

Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.

I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
