They absolutely do not. I'm an American who just moved to Canada, and I'm sure America hasn't seen anything like this before. I had to move to Toronto before I could truly appreciate the depth of Canadians' wholesale rejection of everything American. It's one thing that everyone can agree on here
I still don't think Americans appreciate the degree to which Canada is in the midst of a total anti-American vibe shift.

One day you're a Canadian national hero. The next day you're a Trumpster Fire & Canada hates you. They smeared shit on a Gretzky statue in Edmonton. As an American who just fled to Canada, it's heartening to see citizens reject nonsense. I've never had more respect for Canada than I do today.
