A few years ago I cold emailed a company reaching out for possible work and the AD I emailed told me something like “We don’t take on amateur work, but please email in the future when you have improved”
And like, yeah that’s fine! They didn’t think my work is good, but I think about it a lot haha

(1) - My bad productive output (depressed, adhd, working on it) in terms of content (art), niche appeal (medium-good geek/entertainment design art), and inconsistent identity on the internet definitely makes my attempts to raise awareness pretty impotent.
