Hello, #PortfolioDay! I'm Claudio, fantasy illustrator from Brazil, and I'm always looking for work! I've worked with D&D, Witcher, Marvel, Star Wars, and LotR, and I want to work with *you*! My website is www.claudiopozas.com , where you'll find my email and social media.
1) Universal Healthcare needs to be a thing in the US.
2) Even private health insurance should be *much* better. Any average-to-good insurance in Brazil covers *everything*, no additional copays or anything. It amazes me that the US doesn't have these.

I agree with @tomlommel.com here. One way of doing this in d20-based games is to give partial success or a mitigated failure if you fail the roll but still get 11+ on the d20.
I think reducing dice rolls to bare success/failure is boring. I ask players to roll dice to see *degrees* of success. An 18 is not a 15 is not a 12.
A dice roll introduces a point of uncertainty and heightens suspense. You dull that suspense if the outcome is the same on a 12 as it is on a 19.

Reminder that the UN is holding the COP30 right now in Belém, in the Brazilian Amazon, and the US didn't even send observers. The highest-ranking US politician on site is Newsom.

Art software journey

Corel Draw -> Adobe Photoshop (3 to 2018) -> Clip Studio Paint
Art software journey

MS paint > paint shop pro > photoshop (from version 4 until 2023ish) > clip studio

I did try sai and painter in between but never switched
MS Paint > Photoshop 7 > OekakiBBS > ArtRage > Photoshop > Coolors on the 3Ds > Corel Painter > Clip Studio Paint

Basically i wanted an art program w a decent blender brush. Corel painter and clip where the ones that lived up to my needs.

The same goes for your favorite artists, btw. Artistic burnout is a bitch and if you want to support your favorite artist, remember that they are more than their art & more than a machine for creative output.
Making & posting content every day is not realistic, or sustainable long term. Expecting sw’s to post and make content every day is not healthy. It’s a ridiculous expectation and drains the soul and spark out of us when we hear stuff like that. Please be mindful, thx 🌸💕🫶🏻

This perfectly encapsulates how I feel living in the US. The republican party is an insane death cult, the democratic party is 3 corporations in a trench coat, and the "socialists" are just the completely normal left-wing capitalists you'd find in any of 2 dozen European nations.
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’
Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

Abolish all robotaxis and self-driving vehicles!
The death of KitKat, a brown tabby cat, has reverberated throughout San Francisco after a Waymo struck the cat and continued driving.

But mourners’ grief has been complicated by who, or what, should be held accountable.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

Everyday there's a new "AI is actually useless" development.
‘In a twist that befuddled researchers for a year, almost no human beings visit the sites, which are hard to browse or search. Instead, their content is aimed at crawlers, the software programs that scour the web & bring back content for search engines & LLMs’

Russia seeds chatbots with lies. Any bad actor could game AI the same way.
In their race to push out new versions with more capability, AI companies leave users vulnerable to “LLM grooming” efforts that promote bogus information.

The truly maddening thing is that, unlike when I was a young man in science and the materials and engineering just weren’t there yet, the future is *right there.* The problem is *solved*. What’s holding us back is not just greed, but this bizarre nostalgia, an obsession with petro- masculinity.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative
