It never ceases to amaze me that a species with these colors is native to the Southeast US (this is from North Carolina).

An original digital illustration by Loadofolbobbins of a bronze winged pigeon perched on a gnarled branch. The bird is very much similar in size and shape to a regular common pigeon but with some slightly fancier feather colouring. On it's head there are two bold cream stripes, one below and one above it's eye. The front of it's head is a muted orange colour while the side has a deep brownish purple colour. The chest feathers are a lovely selection of muted browns and greys that all blend together but it's the wings that really stand out for this bird. The areas of the wings that are closest to the chest are a series of vibrant oranges, reds, yellows, greens and further down deep blues, it really has a kaleidoscopic effect. The rest of the wing feathers are grey with very light grey almost white edging. The background of the image is a light blue inky wash against white.

All of the dinosaurs with that pavement-ish skin pattern are by Giuliano Fornari! His dinosaurs are great, even if he was “borrowing” pretty heavily from the art of John Sibbick.

Here’s an article on another book from around the same time that he illustrated, there’s tons of great art there!

I dreamt I was sitting at a table with a couple. The man stood up and said “I don’t feel well” and he then collapsed into a pile of sludge and bones. Their cat dug through the pile and put all the man’s teeth into his mouth. He then whispered something to the woman and she got REALLY mad at me.

this post broke my brain for a good week where literally any task i did was followed by the thought “keep trying to be sexy & have fun” and i just heard it again trying a new paint. i will probably be found wandering the streets muttering it at garbage cans

What do you do at that point? Keep trying to be sexy & have fun? I expect to see a lot of sadness & confusion about what to do at that point.
