Home educator in the U.K.
ADHD, possibly autistic.
Solicitor appointed to manage the contentious #Inheritance problems for my husband.

I really didn’t think it would come to this, but he’s been left completely in the dark.

Looks like the Solicitor that managed the grant of probate broke the Code of Conduct for Solicitors so even messier

#ADHD
MY GP told me today that there are many risks associated with ADHD meds, but couldn’t name any.
When I said there was research showing that medication can significantly help (I’ve been on it for years) she said she wasn’t aware of this.

I also added that being unmedicated poses risks

It’s really hard to sleep when your mind won’t stop racing #ADHD

It’s been a tough couple of weeks & it just seems to keep getting worse 😢

I just want a break from it all, but that’s not going to happen

If life wants to throw any more crap at me, can it do it now please? Or just stop 🛑

UC managed to lose my 16 year old so we only received half our payment. 17 days later they haven’t found him, but have verified the details of my 14 year old 🤷‍♀️

My husband’s employer didn’t pay him - at all 😭

I have been neglecting this app.

#PoTSies How are we managing in the heat?

I’m struggling. I have fans in every room, I’ve been getting some great tips over on threads…

electrolytes (I’m searching for salt free as I have high BP)

fruit in high water content

Cooling mats

My doctor thinks I may have arthritis.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry whenever I go to an apt anymore.

Since March I’ve been diagnosed with tinnitus (noise is permanent) b12 deficiency, low vitamin D, low iron & now starting to investigate arthritis.

Today marks nine years since Jo Cox was assassinated by a far-right extremist, a terrible loss to those who knew and loved her and to politics. Zero lessons were learned though and the far-right continues to be pandered to. With more political assassinations in the US it all feels too familiar.

My GP sent me a text today telling me I need to complete a Risk Awareness Form as I take topiramate.

They should do their own research first as I’m not happy at all.

Apparently the medication can cause significant harm to an unborn child - I’ve had a hysterectomy 🤷‍♀️

What’s the harm? Well…

After watching @geminitaymc.bsky.social play @vintagestorygame.bsky.social I bought a family bundle for the game.

We have only just started, I have died several times & am loving every minute of it.

Immigration is not the cause of people's problems. So, to anyone who thinks it is, they will always demand more.
When this round of immigrant bashing doesn't win Reform voters and only makes our problems worse what is next?
Deportations?
Camps?

@chazelgrovemp.bsky.social

I would like to know if you are ok with being a member of an openly racist Party & Government?

A leader using terms from a speech made by #EnochPowell and saying that immigrants have done ‘incalculable damage’ to the UK - this is abhorrent!!

Still staying silent?

Let's be crystal clear: doing some good stuff doesn't give you a free pass to also do a whole bunch of bad stuff. And when the bad stuff is REALLY bad, no amount of good stuff can compensate.

Labour have flirted with that hard line many times since the GE. Today's immigration assault leaps over it.

I may not be religious, but I am interested to hear from anyone that may have been at this?

Seeing as Claire has said she will vote in line with party how does that align with faith?

Labour policies will push people into poverty.

I’m genuinely interested.

🍞 Very grateful to have been invited as the ‘special guest’ at this month’s Saturday Breakfast at St Michael’s in Stoke Gifford.

Following a lovely breakfast (thanks to Paul and team!) Revd Canon Simon Jones and I explored politics, faith and community.

Thanks to everyone who joined us!

Shameful bullish. What's done incalculable damage is a decade of pernicious falsehoods about immigration, while people who should know better refuse to counter the lies of the increasingly normalised far right.

Let's tackle those lies:

Keir Starmer denies pushing anti-migrant policies in order to chase Reform, saying that "I'm doing this because it is right, because it is fair and because it is what I believe".

A reminder of what he said he believed when he was running for Labour leader.

So, as a disabled person who doesn’t have a degree where do I sit on the ‘importance’ scale in the UK?

This is a ridiculous move by Starmer and the #LabourParty

& goes against the manifesto the party was elected on 🤬

#LiarsAllOfThem
'Every area of the immigration system - work, family and study - will be tightened up', says PM Keir Starmer

- Skill requirements raised to degree level
- English language requirements increased
- Pathway to citizenship increased from five years to 10

WTF 🤬
I have no words…
Despite officials previously walking back statements about tracking “Americans with autism,” the HHS announced plans to develop a “real-world data platform” using Medicare and Medicaid records to investigate “the root causes of autism.” Roughly 36% of Americans are enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid.
RFK Jr. Says Autism Database Will Use Medicare and Medicaid Records
Roughly 36 percent of Americans are enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid, meaning their sensitive data could be targeted.

I'll repeat:
Teaching autistic children to 'mask' may lead to depression, autistic burnout, anxiety, symptoms of trauma, & suicidal ideation. There is extensive newer research happening in this & excellent volumes that can be read on the subject.
It is unethical to simply not consider any of this.

So true!!
Labour might wonder why, less than a year into a new government promising “change”, people are giving up on it in droves. So let me help it out with a few clues.
1. Cutting disability benefits
2. Freezing Local Housing Allowance.
3. Maintaining the cruel, Malthusian two-child benefit cap ....

I’m glad that 42 MPs are standing up and saying that they cannot support the #BenefitCuts as evidence shows more people will be pushed into poverty.

So, @chazelgrovemp.bsky.social are you still saying there is no evidence?

I'm a Labour MP. This is why I can't support Starmer's benefits cuts
42 Labour MPs have broken ranks to say they cannot support the government's DWP benefits cuts. Paula Barker explains why she's one of them.

@chazelgrovemp.bsky.social

I am more worried under this #Labour Gov than I was under a Tory one.
Something I didn’t expect to say if I’m honest.

Even with the losses in the recent mayor elections, to hear that Labour just intend to follow the route they have chosen, is baffling to me.

First b12 injection done!

Just another 5 to go within the next 2 weeks and then 1 injection every 12 weeks.

Fingers crossed it helps with something 🤷‍♀️

Besides, if I’m ’lecturing’ - there will be signs - even in written text.

Trust me - I’m like that 🤪
