As a marketer, how do you not die of absolute embarrassment over this? I can only assume that the key decision makers are deeply insulated from actual consumer engagement, and are stuck in their LinkedIn/corporate executive bubbles. This disconnect seems to be growing more noticeable with brands…

I will say that nothing is more baffling to me than the industry standard that we teach developers about publishing by having them listen to talks and panels by publishers. It's like fiscal responsibility taught by a loan shark, privacy taught by Google, or human rights taught by Israel.
