Ed Davey still the only leader of any main party making any sense right now.

He's absolutely right.

Poll after poll shows most voters think leaving the EU has been a failure. Closer ties with Europe would bring huge rewards, says Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey

Today, our capital proudly marks seven years of London Trans+ Pride.

As trans rights come under increasing pressure across the UK, this year’s march is a vital reminder: London is a city that stands for equality, dignity and pride - for everyone. 🏳️‍⚧️

Nigel Farage has lied many times, but this is one of his biggest. Kinda wish he was telling the truth with this one. Why hasn't he fucked off yet?
July 20, 2025 at 3:31 PM
So no policies Nigel doesn't have a clue, doesn't want to answer questions, and gets all the attention, even though he claims the media is out to get him, but there's no time for Ed Davey who actually wants to say something other than "I don't know" ffs.

Ed Davey was right about the BBC.
12 min - Nigel Farage's interview in which he didn't have answers to many of the questions asked by Laura Kuenssberg

7 mins - Ed Davey's interview in which he wanted to answer questions from Laura Kuenssberg but they conveniently ran out of time

The over platforming of Reform continues this morning but for a change several other parties are being represented - LibDems and SNP for a change. The broadcast media know we have a point but we need to keep up the pressure. Plurality now. Sign and pass on. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/71...

Ed Davey is listening to us on this issue. I’m sure the other parties will bring it up too. But it’s not just the BBC. All the broadcasters are over platforming Reform. Our petition is now close to 5k. Sign and pass on. We must hear ALL our parties much more petition.parliament.uk/petitions/71...

It’s a nonsense that up until now, 16 and 17 year olds have been able to pay taxes and served in the Armed Forces, but not have their say in elections.

Votes at 16 is a no-brainer - after all, it has worked hugely well in Scotland and Wales and ensured that young people are engaged in politics.

If the only way you'll ever hear someone call out Nigel Farage's destructive, divisive politics on the BBC is for me to do it, then so be it.
Watch @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk call out the BBC for their failure to hold Nigel Farage to account.

❓If the government admits that First Past the Post is unsuitable for mayoral elections, why does it intend to keep it in place for general elections?

Thank you, Sarah Olney MP, for raising this issue in Parliament.

Whatever the election, FPTP is not fit for purpose. It must be replaced.

Why don't pollsters routinely do ranked preference polling, so that we can find out who people actually support, rather than who they feel forced into choosing by our electoral system?

Half of us would rank Reform UK last.

The way Labour are going, they might even be 5th in 1st preferences by now.
