#RandomGameSaturday and here is one last Christmas memory.

There was one year that I found a bunch of copies of Binary Domain for like $5. It's a great game made by the Yakuza devs. I bought a stack of them and everyone I knew who had a PS3 got a copy of BD. I had to spread the word of Big Bo.

Have you ever wanted to play an R-Zone game and not get an immediate migraine?
Indy 500 for R-Zone, 1996, Tiger and Sega.
I can't capture the action because it projects lit sprites onto the red mirror.
It's LCD racing. There are 3 gears and occasional scenery around the track.

I'm gonna getchu with today's #RandomGameSaturday pick, Ape Escape 2!

I *adore* the UK dub of AE 2 & 3. There's something about British accents pronouncing Japanese names that makes me smile every single time, and it's as much a part of the charm of the series for me as the creative gameplay is.

I was in love with the original Ar Tonelico back when it came out on PS2. Great 2D spritework, a cool story that involves diving into the subconscious of your partners to form a bond, unlock songs and classes. It also had an Atelier style crafting system iirc. Artbook included. #RandomGameSaturday.

I opened my DS cupboard and these two fell out so… I guess this #RandomGameSaturday is Fire Emblem themed :)

Stepping from one world to another for this week's #RandomGameSaturday with Funcom's The Longest Journey.

Still one of my favourite point and click adventure games. 💜 I connected so hard with April Ryan too at the time, making it even more of a special first experience.

#RandomGameSaturday and another game that reminds me of Christmas...

Diddy Kong Racing was the other game I got for the N64. Let's be real, I wanted Mario Kart. That was the game everyone had but DKR was fun in its own way though. Much like Mario 64, it was neat to just explore the hub world.

It's snowing! Game on!
Donkey Kong Hockey, 1984, Micro VS G&W - Nintendo
Odd protagonists, but offers all of the G&W watch charm, with cute sprites, quick action, and good sound. Micro VS G&W series has 2 wired controllers that store in the clamshell back.
Mario Sports Mix lite?

For this #RandomGameSaturday I have Capcom’s Cadillacs & Dinosaurs. An excellent beat-em-up based on an obscure comic book and TV show, it’s much, much better than its Sega CD cousin. Plus - Q Sound audio! 😁

This week's #RandomGameSaturday pick is the Langrisser Tribute box set for Sega Saturn! I got this years ago from Mandarake. It countains Langrisser 1 through 5, as well as a hardcover guidebook similar to those that came with the North-American Lunar PS1 releases.

#RandomGameSaturday and here is another Christmas memory

I remember circling Dragon Warrior 3 in the Toys R Us book. I hadn't played any of the others at the time but I liked JRPGs.

Before the bulk of the gifts could be opened on Xmas, my mom let me open one. I thought I had only gotten the guide.

Being a fan of the anime, I was pretty excited when the original Steins;Gate was officially released in english so I had pre-ordered the physical edition from JAST. Came with an official fanbook and some science lab pins.

Haven't done one of these in a minute, so have some Tokyo Insect Zoo!

A '96 release by General Entertainment, TIZ is based on a picture book, features a LOT of animation from Studio Pierrot, and tells the story of a boy reincarnated as a beetle trying to save insect-kind.

#RandomGameSaturday and you know what game reminds me of childhood Christmas?

In late 1998, my mom took me to the Toys R Us in Times Square to pick my presents. I don't really remember if I fully knew about this game yet, but it was definitely the hot item of the season. I chose Blue version.

Earthshaker!, 1988?, Playtime.
Pat Lawlor (creator of Addams Family Pinball) brought us Earthshaker! pinball in 1989 as his first solo table through Williams. It features a great shaker motor to simulate an earthquake.
This game is Frogger without frogs, shaking, or pinball.

#RandomGameSaturday time, it's Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors. Not so random, I'm borrowing it currently to test with my new arcade cabinet. Pictured alongside my PS1 copy, how I played the game the most originally.
My 4 years old son has been obsessed with the game, asking to play most mornings.

It might as well be Dec, so for #RandomGameSaturday, I'm showing stuff that reminds me of Christmas

Star Fox 64 was one of the 2 first games I got for the N64. This is my original copy! I still have the manual! This game is great. It's a 3D rail shooter in space where you fight a giant monkey face

I remember when Suikoden Tierkreis came out, a lot of people were disappointed it didn't tie in to the story of the old games, but I thought it was still very fun. The character models are super cute, recruiting the 108 characters was still great and they had some cool designs.

#RandomGameSaturday and this is something that needs to come back.

Tank! Tank! Tank! is a mostly known for being an arcade game in Dave & Busters, but it was also on the Wii U. It's a simple tank deathmatch game but it's pretty fun and it would be great to have a modern version with online play.

It's #RandomGameSaturday time! Here's Snoopy Concert for the Super Famicom. This Japan-only release was designed for the SFC's mouse peripheral, and is a collection of sub-games and minigames where you mostly control Woodstock directly, and use him to give orders to Snoopy, point-and-click style.
