I got caught up in rolling over the score counter in Nintendo's Alleway for the Game Boy, so there is now an entry for the game on GemuBaka.
What I found was it seems like magazines at the time largely ignored this game, but one scoring champion was found in 1990!

Consider making 2026 the Year of the Personal Website. Even a little thing on Neocities works. It’s just nice to have a home base on the internet that you don’t have to deal with bsky mods are random popping into every post and if something goes wrong with your host, you just move it elsewhere
