Exactly
The Iraq War was a tragic mistake, but nobody was surprised that the US military took Baghdad in less than a month, even though Iraq is half a world away from the US. Meanwhile, Russia can’t get halfway across a country on its border. Losers.
To those thinking Russia is winning in Ukraine:

Imagine if when we invaded Iraq, we were almost four years into it, only occupied 20 percent, and lost a million men.

Not a soul would call that “winning.”

Oh, goody. More thoughts and prayers. That'll fix things.

I mean, DelBene could post something about what she, a member of Congress and person in a position of influence, is doing about it.
But that's not how she rolls. Always "Let me point out a problem" and never "Here's what I'm doing about it."
The House held a moment of silence today after the horrific shooting at Brown this weekend. We hold the students who were killed & injured, their families, & the Providence community in our hearts. Thankful for first responders & law enforcement as the search continues for the shooter.

It’s been two weeks since ICE took Yuanxin Zheng from his father. He is six years old. He’s still not home. This has to end.

Yeah, we know there's a problem. We know we need polices that deal with real world issues.
SO HOW ABOUT TELLING US WHICH ONES YOU'RE PROPOSING AND PUSHING FOR?
This is why we've lost all faith in the Dems. Nothing but "Gosh, something really much be done about this!" and no leadership to do so.
Trump’s tariffs are a tax on families & small businesses. Retailers can’t absorb the costs forever. We need policies that will lower costs, not chaotic tariffs that raise prices at the checkout line.
‘Only so long’ before Trump’s tariff costs hit consumers, businesses warn
Corporate executives are telling investors that prices will rise as soon as January as pre-tariff inventory runs thin and holiday discounts disappear.

Time to show the Republicans that swords *always* cut both ways.
"You going to try to rig things to fuck us over? Right back at you, shitbags. Fuck the 'WE go high.' bullshit. We are going to stuff your own crap down your throats."

I get it. Ford had other things to deal with, couldn't as long as Nixon dominated headlines.
But it showed Republicans they would not be held responsible for their crimes and lawlessness paid. And EVERY Republican administration and Congress since has been overflowing with increasing corruption.
imagine US political culture if Ford hadn't pardoned Nixon, and instead he went to jail

The Department of Defense’s own Law of War Manual even lists it as THE example of an illegal order that MUST be disobeyed.

the right has beat up on the press for over 60 years. the result is a mainstrem media that bends over backwards to privilege their lies. you would think democrats could understand this but instead in the year of our lord 2025 theyre still begging the msm to "do better."
The Dems think favorable coverage of them runs through treating the press favorably, when the opposite is true.

We have to be calling things what they are. Anything less is being a propagandist for the fascists. ICE is criminal street gangs who are kidnapping people. Republicans are Nazis.
That’s not name-calling or hyperbole, it’s accurately calling things exactly what they are.
Trump’s “mass deportation” is not deportation at all.

When people are captured without due process, that's kidnapping. When they’re sent to another country against their will, that's human trafficking. When they're put in a prison with no way to get out, that's a concentration camp.

This is definitely the way to confront ICE. Directly, forcefully, without hesitation, uncompromisingly, calling them out on their lawlessness.

(Although I do wonder if this is example staged, because you NEVER see real ICE cowards be polite or willing to show their faces.)
This is the way!

That’s how crazy this timeline is.

“I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel.”

Typical sociopathic Republican. Absolutely NO sense of what others must feel until it happens to them personally. Then, and only then, do they mimic having empathy.

Yet another Democrat pointing to the problem and saying NOTHING about what they’re doing about it.
Promised lower energy costs. Delivered higher utility bills.

Families are paying the price of Trump’s broken promises.

Yup. Freedom to oppress is a core principle of the rights ideology.
It is crucial to understand that a tragic number of people dangerously believe that the word "freedom" means not the expansion of freedom for others, but the freedom for themselves to oppress others, to control others, and to force their beliefs on others.

If you still consider yourself a Republican, fuck you.

There's no "I'm a REAL conservative, it's not *MY* Republican party, this isn't what I voted for." bullshit excuses.

If you consider yourself a Republican IN ANY WAY, you're declaring you're a vile person who lives to make people suffer.

NOT single handedly. DO not let all the sycophants, cowards, and boot-lickers off the hook.
The resistance to fascism is alive & well. The resistance to cruelty is alive & well. The resistance to golden bathrooms & ballrooms is alive & well. The resistance to a madman who singlehandedly fucked up the economy for middle class/working class Americans is alive & well.

Gee, who didn't see that coming?
Oh, right. The MAGA contractors who agreed to work for Trump without getting paid up front.
I hope he continues to stiff them. Stupidity doesn't deserve to be paid.
